This piece is a variation on the theme of fluid lines folding onto each other. It has a characteristic fold and an opening inspired by winds and water. This vase has a special glaze on the outside which breaks and gathers into white drops, giving it almost animalistic look. For most ceramic glazes this kind of effect is a defect which must be addressed, but someone somewhere thought this was beautiful enough to work on making it more pronounced, making it the main feature. An interesting metaphor on perception of beauty, don’t you think?
