I am fascinated by the vessels. A seemingly simple idea: a shape which can hold something inside of it. And yet the variations, the interpretations are endless and sometimes absolutely unexpected. Imagine a vessel emerging from layers of sand and dirt as an archeological mission is exploring a site of a civilization we know little about. The purpose of this artefact is a mystery. Was it meant to hold water? Grain, oil, a soul of a deceased? Perhaps it was a muical instrument or an object of magical rituals. Or something we can not even conceive the idea of.
