Loneliness
It will hardly come as a surprise when I tell you that this collection was born as a way to process my own feeling of loneliness. I was surprised by how unprepared I was to face it. Perhaps because I was surrounded by people all the time, feeling lonely felt especially strong? Whatever it was, I was overwhelmed, but by working on this series I was able to not only move through this period of life, but also learn and discover.
This collection is still evolving, with pieces added and imagined. Some of them are vases, others - sculptural pieces, and then there are the tea bowls.
They are not about loneliness itself, but about a way of supporting yourself while you are going through it. I believe that a handmade teabowl can do wonders when it is the right one. So I keep on making them, changing textures, shapes and colors with the hope that there will be that special one for anyone who needs it.
Each piece in this collection has a story connected to it.
In an effort to not overwhelm this page with text I have included more information in the individual descriptions in the shop
